We often feel exhausted from chasing after all kinds of illusory happiness – sensory pleasures, the latest gadget, a better job, worldly success. Those who have attained enlightenment are free from desires and have stopped the endless search for something new. On our journey home all desires are experienced one-by-one, and when they no longer satisfy, they are abandoned; until the only desire remaining is that of finding peace, rest and renewal in the One and the All. In the end, all searching leads back to Unity-consciousness and ‘the dewdrop slips into the shining sea’.
